The Original Farmers Market, Los Angeles’ favorite gathering place, revs up for its 24th Annual Gilmore Heritage Auto Show. This year, the show honors and celebrates another Southern California classic, the Lowrider. Themed “Low & Slow – A Tribute to American Lowriders,” the beloved event will take place on Saturday, June 2 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. throughout the Market at Third & Fairfax. Approximately 30 exquisite Lowriders will be on display.
The free event allows auto enthusiasts, young and old, up-close and personal access to classic cars and the opportunity to meet and speak with car owners throughout the day. Among the show cars this year are Lowriders from Style Car Club of Los Angeles, featuring a custom 1963 Chevrolet Impala SS and a 1947 Cadillac Convertible.
“Nothing in the automotive world is more uniquely American and emblematic of LA’s diverse culture than the highly respected Lowrider,” said Ilysha Buss, Farmers Market Marketing Director. “From detailed airbrushed artwork to high-performance hydraulic features, the Lowrider is an enduring artistic style that continues to be embraced by Angelenos. We are thrilled to showcase the Lowrider experience at 3rd and Fairfax.”
