Camila Alves on the Red Carpet

When Camila Alves graces the red carpet  this season with husband Matthew McConaughey, she will  once again make it look effortless. But, she says, don’t be fooled, it doesn’t come easy. It’s an all day process each time and one that she says takes the assistance of an entire team.

“It’s great to play dress up and have people make you look better than when you wake up in the morning, but it takes a lot of work,” Alves says.

“It’s like a wedding day and think about it — do you want to have your wedding day over and over and over again? But I’ve learned to have fun with it,” says the beautiful Alves who has managed to stay fit through three pregnancies.

In fact, she says, this last pregnancy was a tough one and she’s just getting back to the work of exercise, which she does with the help of her favorite trainers and healthy eating habits.

“We eat fresh, have organic things and drink tons of water, but it’s important to have cheat days and have Friday night pizza nights,” Alves says. “It’s important to have a good balance.”

Read  more about her favorite trainers and family life in her January Southern California Life Magazine cover story, shot on the grounds of the beautiful and historic Robinson Gardens in Beverly Hills.
