More than 700 VIPs, celebs and other influencers gathered for Casino Angeleno, The Junior League of Los Angeles’ fourth annual fundraising gala at the Natural History Museum on May 9th. Supporting women empowerment, community volunteerism and awareness, this year’s Masquerade theme celebrated JLLA’s work with its nonprofit community partners including Children’s Bureau, Alliance for Children’s Rights, Children’s Institute, Heart of Los Angeles (HOLA) to better the community, and how L.A.’s food and beverage industry raises the bar when it comes to defining foodie culture. Together, these efforts help Los Angeles remain the leading cultural influence it is today.
Special guests included Tammin Sursok of “Pretty Little Liars,” Brittny Gastineau from “Keeping Up with The Kardashians,” Dr. Andrew Ordon of “The Doctors,” Kaitlyn Black and Mallory Moye, “Hart of Dixie,” Anna Sergeant from “Fifty Shades of Grey,” and DeMark Thompson, “Hunger Games, Part 1 & 2.”
Attendees followed the Red Carpet to the VIP reception, danced to the beats of DJ Crazu, bid on silent auction items, and enjoyed casino gaming with insight from professionals. The open bar by Barefoot Wine & Bubbly and Coronado Brewing Co. and tasting menus from leading LA restaurants and chefs including Nespresso, La Brea Bakery, Open Air Kitchen + Bar, Dulce Gusto by Nescafe, Hutchinson, and dessert from Ice Cream Lab added to the ambience. Guests also received VIP gift bags and committed to increase their community awareness.
