Christmas is only a few weeks away, but Angelenos who just can’t wait until Dec. 25 are in luck because for the first time, L.A. Live in Downtown Los Angeles will be transformed into a winter wonderland this weekend, starting with a series of live concerts hosted by KOST 103.5.
The street festival and concert series go from Dec. 7th to Dec. 11th and kick off at 3:00 p.m. with a performance by Frankie J and a special tribute to the late Jenni Rivera, who died at this time two years ago. Other performers during the 5-day event include Contemporary Christian group Hillsong, Kari Jobe, Tasha Cobbs and Irish music phenom Celtic Woman. The event is open to the public and is set to be the largest Christmas festival in the world.
The festival will be set up like a pop-up theme park, featuring a Santa experience, skating rink, snow park, human snow globe with photo opportunities, a dining village, a Ferris wheel and Dickens’ Carolers. The Christmasland Street Festival main stage will be located at the corner of Figueroa and Chick Hearn Court, adjacent to the Staples Center box office in the heart of downtown.
