While the Los Angeles Zoo is best known as one of Southern California’s most family-friendly destinations, it’s adults only for “Sex and the City Zoo”, an extraordinary Valentine’s Day event celebrating romance in the animal kingdom. In celebration of the L.A. Zoo’s 50th Anniversary, a new dining series kicks off at the lighthearted affair, which begins with a wine reception featuring “animal walkabouts,” which include chats with keepers and the chance to observe small animals up close. At the heart of the evening is a provocative presentation about relationships in the animal kingdom by an animal expert offering insights on animal mating, dating and co-habitating. The event climaxes with a five-course dinner created exclusively by Taste of the Wild’s executive chef, Brad Robertson. Each course will be paired with a selection from Foxen, a Santa Maria Valley winery which shares the Zoo’s dedication to sustainability.
