Concurrent with the exhibition Real Worlds: Brassaï, Arbus, Goldin, the renowned photography publisher Aperture presents a pop-up bookshop at MOCA Store Grand Avenue. Founded in 1952 by photographers Ansel Adams, Dorothea Lange, and Minor White, among others, Aperture has a rich history of producing groundbreaking projects, monographs, and writings on photography including Nan Goldin’s The Ballad of Sexual Dependency and the upcoming Diane Arbus: A box of ten photographs. The pop-up will feature publications with works by Brassaï, Arbus, and Goldin, as well as recent titles inspired by their legacies.
