DTLA - Inside LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes, the Mexican-American museum and cultural center on Main Street, a series of colorful, bold sculptures and drawings are on display. Some show cars speeding down the street. Others depict grinning dogs ready to leap off the paper. The art varies in form and subject, but all of it emits an optimistic air, drawing from Chicano culture and occasionally veering into futurism.
