The Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau hosts the 44th annual Fiesta Hermosa – Southern California’s largest arts and crafts festival with more than 300 vendors and 100,000 regional residents.
The festival takes place in downtown Hermosa Beach. The family-friendly event includes live music, carnival rides, an enormous variety of food and thirst-quenching drinks along with painters, sculptors, photographers, handcrafters and jewelers. Children stay entertained throughout the holiday weekend with the Kiddie Carnival that features a 30-foot slide, mechanical rides and games. There is also a petting zoo, pony rides and face painting. Also, the much loved festival returns to offer a tranquil setting for parents and their babies to rest and recharge. Delicious bites in the popular food court are certain to satisfy everyone’s appetite, and adults can support several local nonprofit groups by enjoying the Charity Beer and Wine Garden.
Locals are encouraged to walk or bike to Fiesta Hermosa and use the free bike valet lot at the beach staffed by Hermosa Cyclery, which offers air for tires and on-site diagnostic checkups. Free shuttle buses are also running to the festival from the Northrop Grumman parking lot at the southeast corner of Marine Avenue and Aviation Boulevard. People are encouraged to bring reusable bags to carry purchased items as vendors will not have plastic bags. Also, to commemorate Memorial Day weekend by honoring service men and women, the second annual Memorial Celebration is May 28 at noon on the main stage by the pier. Sponsors of Fiesta Hermosa include Bud Light/AB InBev and Toyota. Find out more at fiestahermosa.net.
