La Jolla Concours d’Elegance April 10-12

Thousands of classic car buffs and casual aficionados are gathering at the 11th Annual La Jolla Concours d’Elegance for three days of VIP Soirees, tour of San Diego’s elite private automobile collections, and dozens of events and exhibitions of the Concours, itself, all staged against the stunning scenery of La Jolla Cove bordered by the white sands of the Pacific.

 

Promising the most dazzling displays of vehicles in the world, the sleepy community awakens to a glamorous weekend spectacular blending automobiles, shopping, beverages, and culinary delights. Named “one of the top three most anticipated car shows of the year” by the British car magazine, Octane, this year will showcase coach-built classics of the 30’s and 40’s.

 

Presented by LPL Financial, the event will also benefit local 501(c)3 non-profits, the Monarch School Project for homeless students, and La Jolla Historical Society. The schedule of events is as follows:
Friday, April 10 — Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Contemporary Classic Cocktail Party, 7:00 – 10:00 pm at the La Valencia Hotel . The soiree features an extraordinary display Rolls-Royce automobiles, entertainment, culinary bites, cocktails, wines and champagnes. Cost: $150 per person.

 

Saturday, April 11 – La Jolla Concours d’Elegance Motor Tour, 7:30 am – 3:30 pm. Scenic tour features exclusive visits to private collections, catered lunch and other singular experiences. Limited to 75 participants. $195 per car (two people per vehicle) or $100 per person for a double decker tour bus ticket.

 

Saturday, April 11 – Exclusive Saturday Evening VIP Reception 6:00 – 9:00 pm at the Ellen Browning Scripps Park in La Jolla Cove. Overlooking panoramas of the Pacific, this exclusive event for automobile registrants, sponsors, judges and the public includes culinary specialties prepared by local restaurants and world-class chefs, entertainment, wines and cocktails. $150 per person.

 

Sunday, April 12 — La Jolla Concours d’Elegance and La Jolla Motor Car Classic at the Concours 9:00 am – 4:00 pm at the Ellen Browning Scripps Park. View more than 300 exemplary vehicles lined up along the Pacific, the variety of goods displayed by assorted vendors, and check out the offers from the sponsors. General admission includes two tastings from the wine and craft beer garden and a commemorative program. General admission tickets are $40 per person if purchased in advance or $50 on the day of the event. Children under 14 years of age are free.

 

VIP Tickets at $125 per person include general admission benefits plus a complimentary lunch by participating restaurants as well as hosted wines, craft beers, and cocktails from 11 AM to 2 PM courtesy of Blanchard, Krasner & French, plus a souvenir poster signed by La Jolla Concours d’Elegance official artist Scott Jacobs..

 

Ultimate VIP Package providing VIP access to the Concours and all VIP Receptions are $325 each and include access to the exclusive VIP lounge with complimentary food, beverages and a commemorative poster. You also have the option to purchase a hospitality tent for friends and business associates in the center of the action which provides a private lounge for your guests to relax by the ocean and enjoy complimentary beverages and food.

You can also visit the adjacent La Jolla Motor Car Classic, an extension of the La Jolla Concours d’Elegance, which is free to the public and features a display of over 100 cars, a variety of entertainment, and a children’s automotive area.
