Looking for a fun way to spice up your summer afternoon? How about signing up as a contestant for the hit television game show “Let’s Make a Deal?”
Gaining popularity fast as the wackiest place on earth, the set at “Let’s Make a Deal” with host Wayne Brady is a collection of exuberant contestants, crazy costumes and a super fun experience for viewers and participants alike.
Joining the fun is easy. Tickets can be purchased free of charge online at www.on-camera-audiences.com and you can select the show taping dates that best suit your schedule. Tapings take place two months in advance of show times, and are held on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. On each of these days, three episodes are run with 150 audience members per episode.
Once your desired date has arrived, you’ll begin your day at the “Deal” contestant area in Van Nuys. Costumes are encouraged and the more outlandish, the better. It’s not uncommon to see people dressed as animals, food items, robots, and more. The waiting area is where the fun starts. Here you’ll find a photo booth, coffee shop, gift shop, and even a costume shop. Fear not if you show up un-costumed and decide to dress-up once there – rentals are as inexpensive as $10.
Those interested in participating as contestants will have the opportunity to do a series of short interviews. The more memorable your appearance, the greater your chance to play the game.
After entering backstage and escorted to be seated in the audience, Emmy Award-winning Wayne Brady, the show host, appears and jolts the energy up to high gear. This is when the excitement really kicks in! Ad-libbing, as is his celebrated skill, he keeps the audience in stitches with his spot-on comments and quips.
Brady works alongside his good friend and announcer, Jonathan Mangum, model Tiffany Coyne, and keyboardist Cat Grey. Taping runs approximately an hour and a half or less. Don’t forget to keep smiling and dancing – it will likely draw Brady’s attention to you, which is ultimately what all contestants want.
This is an absolute must do when visiting Los Angeles, and with the staff’s help, the experience is one of a lifetime. If you’re interested in extraordinary fun and perhaps heading home with extra cash or a prize, we recommend a visit to “Let’s Make a Deal.”
