One of the Nation’s most anticipated triathlons, the Nautica Malibu Triathlon presented by Equinox, hits the sands of Zuma Beach on September 20, 2015. Hosting its 29th annual race, Zuma Beach in Malibu will attract thousands of participants including the world’s finest athletes, philanthropists, celebrities, and supporters. This ultimate experience will put athletes to the test with an 18-mile bike ride, 4-mile run, and half-mile ocean swim in So Cal’s beautiful Pacific Ocean.
More than $1.35 million dollars was raised last year and this year the event is hoping to do the same in its support of Basic and Translational Cancer Research Program of the Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
Notable past participants include Max Greenfield, Teri Hatcher, Jon Cryer, Mark Feuerstein, Michael Weatherly and James Marsden.
“We are so proud that this race continues to draw in people looking for an exhilarating fitness challenge while supporting such a great cause” says Michael Epstein, President of Michael Epstein Sports Productions.
This wonderful event “will fuel future scientific discoveries and medical advancements that will change the outlook for childhood cancer” says Alan S. Wayne, MD, Director of the Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
