Shelter Hope Pet Shop Celebrates 5th Anniversary

Shelter Hope Pet Shop celebrated its 5th anniversary Sunday, Oct. 16, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Janss Marketplace in Thousand Oaks.

 

Abbie, a young woman with autism, was given the volunteer of the year award at the event for her dedication to helping the animals. Moreover, The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) honored Sandy Sigal, owner of NewMark Merrill Companies, and Kim Sill, founder of Shelter Hope pet shops, for embracing a humane business model.

 

More than 100 puppies, cats and bunnies from local rescues and shelters were available for adoption at the event.
