It all began one morning a few years ago in a hot tub somewhere off the Vegas strip. Stuart Ambrose, Brian Purcell, Daniel Tatar, and Shawn Perucca were reflecting on the previous evening’s rousing Frankie Valli tribute show performance when they realized their aspirations were not all that different. All four loved to sing and perform, and it was that day they realized that they were all ready to do their “own thing.” The four decided to quit their 9-5 corporate jobs and instead pursue what they are truly passionate about. That day “The Company Men “ were born.
This insanely talented group of men is not only the first mash-up group in America, but also the creators of #throwbackPOP, a blend of classic jams and current hits. When asked about his inspirations at the album release party at Club Nokia at L.A. Live, Shawn told Southern California Life, “My favorite artist is Michael Jackson by far, then Prince, James Brown…And when you see me on that stage you’ll see why. I like to incorporate a lot of dance.”
According to Shawn, balancing family life and work is no easy task. “It’s hard to juggle, as anyone does, but we’re getting to do what we love, so it also makes it a lot easier. I have a great family, and I have a great job.”
From serving in the military to working for a recruiting firm, to website design, to working at Disneyland, it was definitely fate that brought these men together. This unique, show-stopping group has just released their first album that is sure to have you dancing and singing along.
