The 2nd annual NextGen Art Party, curated by NextGen Art Party Founding Chair Gabé Hirschowitz, Art Party Committee Member Jamie Goldblatt, and TAPPAN co-founder Chelsea Neman, will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2016 in Downtown LA (333 S. Boylston Street, Los Angeles, CA 90017). This event is designed for artists to gain exposure and build relationships with the next generation of philanthropists + art collectors, while celebrating + supporting the wonderful work of UNICEF. It’s a way to have fun, celebrate art, and save and improve children’s lives all at the same time.
Thrown by UNICEF Next Generation, a group of young leaders, entrepreneurs and innovators in their 20s and 30s, the event is a showcase and sale of work donated by both emerging and established artists from around the world.
All proceeds from the event and the online pre-sale will benefit critical UNICEF programs that help the world’s most vulnerable children. UNICEF Next Generation (NextGen) is committed to raising $200,000 to support UNICEF’s efforts in child protection globally and the U.S. Fund for UNICEF’s End Trafficking Project.
Join us in supporting UNICEF’s work to strengthen child protection systems and work with partners to promote positive social norms in all contexts – development and emergency – to prevent and respond to violence, exploitation and abuse directed at children. For more information, or to attend the event, please visit: www.unicefusa.org/artparty.
The majority of art will be priced between $100-$400. The art will be available for purchase at the event on a first come, first serve basis, with the exception of a few rare works that will be available at a silent auction beginning at 5 p.m. Last year the event brought 800 guests in attendance, raising over $40,000 for the UNICEF Tap Project, which provides clean and safe water for children around the globe.
Special thanks to the over 250 artists who donated their works from around the world.
